France seemed destined to draw, even after Henry scored. Korea simply
instilled the feeling that they would draw level given enough time. Sure
enough, a bouncer in William Gallas' lap. Crazy. Did anyone else notice
how Zidane looked, well, retired already? Vieira also seemed to be out of
the flow for good chunks of the match. It looks likely that France will go
home early yet again.
And they played like that with Henry in the side. As Doug might say, a true gangster in every sense of the word.
ReplyDeleteIf you are willing to let it all fall flat around you when you have access to a player like that, you should never have been there in the first place.
France need to rethink everything.
Henry has never had an assist from Zidane. All the time they've put in for France. That says it all.
