Keano Is Gono

Speechless from the news of Keane's departure via text message and sporty vehicle, I can't even get me head around who they will bring in to replace the MAN. William Hill and other agents of bookage seem to believe Sam Allardyce will be put into place as swiftly as the wind blows in off the North Sea this time of year. I am ambivalent about this prospect. While he did a fine job amongst the smoky industrial estate known at the Reebok in keeping Bolton buoyant and combative, there is something about Big Sam that leaves me thinking there are a dozen other more inspired choices out there if Quinny only spends the time to look.

I'm probably wrong. I usually am.

So we face Man U tomorrow with nothing to lose. Gordon is out, Richardson is out. We'll probably come away with a draw playing 2-6-2.

My insane prediction of the day: Manchester United 1 - Sunderland 1
