Was that Mark Viduka wearing the Captain's armband AND breaking a
sweat? The sight is almost as amazing and unbelievable as the football
Australia played keeping Italy pinned back for large segments of the
contest. To say they got robbed would be ever so harsh, because really
Totti had no business a) getting the ball in that position in the first
place and b) having that much space to juggle about and take the dive. It
was a breath-taking ending to a bristling encounter. I only wish the ref
would not have dismissed Materazzi on such a weedy call, but that seems to
be the modus operandi of the FIFA henchmen this Cup.
Coming up this afternoon -- SPAIN, SPAIN, SPAIN! They will destroy a
hapless, miserable France, putting yet another aimless Cup campaign to rest.
